Longoria design partnered with Product dynamics to develop engineering prototypes of a new beauty product used to braid and decorate hair. Longoria turned over to PD a set of styling sketches and a basic bread board to demonstrate the intended function. PD developed a fully engineered mechanism based on the initial bread board. The desired exterior aesthetics were developed by pulling vacuumed formed shells over a solid form. With in weeks PD delivered to its client a fully engineered decorated model.
